Start with Kate’s letter after the credits
Finish the main game, choose Continue and read Kate’s letter in the carriage. It concerns her missing brother and gives the clue “The crow awakens at five past four.” Open the notebook to revisit the chapters below.
The first requirement in the original letter-chain guide is story completion and Kate’s letter; it does not say you must already have all 49 achievements before starting. The final telescope reward can be your last one, but the unrelated optional chores are not substituted for these letters.

Day 1 Morning: set the alarm to 4:05
Replay Waking up Aldous
Choose Day 1 Morning’s Waking up Aldous task in the notebook. Obtain the Toy Soldier’s clock hand as in the morning routine.
Set the different time
Fit the hand and set the alarm to 4:05, not the normal 7:00.
Checkpoint: A letter falls out. Open and read it for the bathroom clue.
Day 2 Evening: the four wall pictures
Replay Day 2 Evening · Helping with Bathing and use the wall pictures, not the moving soap box. The original achievement guide gives this input: Alexandra → bathtub → suitcase → hand.
A different tile opens for the maze letter. This is not the ordinary six groups of four associations, and you do not need to finish the whole bath to perform the secret tile input. Read the letter before moving to the lab.
Day 3 Morning: follow the maze turns
Replay Day 3 Morning · Assisting in Alchemy. The maze clue’s left/right symbols identify the floor box. Enter Right, Right, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left—R R R L R L R R L.
Take and read the letter. During ordinary alchemy, the same box’s L L R R L R input gives matches; here it is the nine-turn maze route that produces the next clue.
Day 1 Night: use the letter’s constellations
Replay Day 1 Night · Searching the Attic and use the constellation box. This time the shapes come from the letter’s grouped drawings, not the first-night window observations.
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to read all columns.
| Setting | Pattern |
|---|---|
| Castle / hotel | 4 stars with three branches forming the inner marks of a peace sign. |
| Moon | 2 stars joined in a straight line. |
| Water | 3 stars forming a triangle. |
Open the box and read the new letter about the ruin. Its drawing points to the wine-box mechanism in Dressing up for Dinner.
Day 3 Evening: wine box and colored bottles
Replay Dressing up for Dinner
Choose Day 3 Evening. Go to the cellar’s wine box and rotate its pieces to match the new letter drawing, rather than entering the ordinary 1643 arrangement.
Checkpoint: Read the letter from the box.
Arrange the three bottles
Put bronze above the spiral, silver above the wavy/S-shaped line, and gold above the triangle with the horizontal bar.
Checkpoint: The upper barrel opens a hidden route.
Read the red-cloak note
Follow the circular passage into the room with the red cloak, mask and green box. Click the cloak until a note drops, then open it.
Checkpoint: The four earlier clues for the final box are now available.
Derive 6294 and inspect the ruin
On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to read all columns.
| Clue | Digit |
|---|---|
| Numbered letter 92681373 | Use the new X marks to leave the third-position digit: 6. |
| House-window drawing | The highest arched window from the coffee painting gives 2. |
| Eye on the meat table | Sight / eye matched IX: 9. |
| Lab symbol | The decoded number is 4. |
Open the hidden-room box
Enter 6294 and take the telescope.
Find the distant ruin
Leave the cellar, take the door on the right and head left toward the dining room. Open the window showing the distant ruin and use the telescope.
Inspect its window
Zoom in on the ruin and look into the window.
Checkpoint: The discovery concerns Kate’s brother and unlocks You’ve found him!
If the telescope view is not yet available, confirm you took the telescope from the hidden-room box and are at the window showing the ruin. The normal attic sky and the hunting view are different scenes.
The clip and its relation to the main ending
AppUnwrapper’s original achievement guide points to a short clip at the end of this discovery route and describes its purpose as showing who the servant was. After the telescope discovery, use the clip entry offered by your build; the original guide and its video (opens in a new tab) provide the viewing reference if you need to compare the endpoint.
The exact footage and a single button label across platforms have not been established by the supplied original-author text. This guide therefore gives the full supported unlock chain without inventing the clip’s individual shots or a “one year earlier” timeline.
The main ending has already transformed the servant and reached the carriage credits before this replay trail starts. The optional discovery adds context; it does not make the lab’s recipe a choice between two required endings.
