Install from the store you selected

  • Steam: choose the premium purchase or Download Demo on the product page. Open the resulting entry in your Steam Library, install it and use Play after the download finishes. Check which entry you launched if your game stops after the opening.
  • itch.io: choose the paid game or the explicitly labelled demo, then the download for your operating system. Follow that download’s supplied instructions; the existence of a download does not mean the game runs in a browser.
  • Android: open the premium or Lite Google Play listing above with the account and device you will use. Let Google Play determine device availability and complete its installation.
  • iPhone/iPad: follow the official site to the regional App Store. Check the listing’s required iOS/iPadOS version and supported devices there, then use the store’s purchase/install control.

A unavailable listing or a device marked incompatible is a store/compatibility issue. A successfully installed game that closes on launch belongs to the not-starting guide. Keep the store receipt if you need purchase support.

Check compatibility before purchasing

On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to read all columns.

Steam minimum desktop requirements as checked on 10 October 2026.
RequirementWindowsmacOS
Operating systemWindows 10 or latermacOS Big Sur or later
Processor2.4 GHz dual core2.4 GHz dual core
Memory4 GB RAM2 GB RAM
Available storage1 GB1 GB

The Steam macOS text includes an inconsistent numeric version label; Big Sur is the named operating system used here. These are minimum store requirements, not a test result for your machine.

Need a 32-bit download? The checked official requirements do not establish that a supported 32-bit game build exists. An operating-system name alone does not prove CPU architecture compatibility. Ask Rusty Lake support (opens in a new tab) with your exact Windows version, architecture and intended store before purchasing for an older system. Do not infer 32-bit support from an unofficial installer filename.

Mobile operating-system and device requirements belong to the specific premium or Lite listing. They can differ from the desktop requirements above.

What a download link actually gives you

An official downloadable desktop package can be the paid product or a separately labelled demo. On mobile, Servant of the Lake Lite identifies the preview; it is not a way to unlock the premium story for free. An APK or IPA from an unidentified mirror does not establish its publisher, version, purchase entitlement or compatibility.

After installing, use the premium walkthrough for the complete weekend, or the Lite/demo walkthrough when your opening matches the documented preview. Store pricing and discounts are shown by the store for your region; no fixed worldwide price is assumed here.
