Enter with the key and hot-water tub

During Doing the Washing, wash all seven items and hang them in this order: shirt, boxers, cloth, jeans, four-stripe sock, five-stripe sock, towel. The shirt pocket yields the bathroom key. Unlock the door, talk to Alexandra and pour the retained Tub With Hot Water into the bath. She then asks for soap.

The small box on the table is the moving-tile puzzle. The pictures on the wall behind the bath are an association puzzle. Their rewards and input rules are different; neither is the secret post-game tile sequence.

Open the table’s sliding soap box

Collect the cookie on the table before zooming into the box. The pieces travel across their row or column until something stops them. Build temporary barriers with other pieces so the marked tiles can finish on the matching diagonal positions.

The following sequence uses the untouched arrangement. “Top,” “bottom,” “second” and “fourth” identify positions in that starting line; keep following the same moved piece when a step gives several directions. The circle tile and the tile with four points around a circle are separate pieces.

  1. Move the bottom tile right

Drag the lowest tile all the way to the right.

  2. Move the circle tile

Drag the middle circle tile right, then down.

  3. Move the fourth tile right

Count the starting tiles from the top and drag the fourth one to the right.

  4. Move the second tile across

Drag the second starting tile across the board.

  5. Return the circle tile

Move the circle tile left, then up.

  6. Bring the four-point tile left

Move the tile with four points around its circle left until it meets the circle tile.

  7. Bring the bottom tile back

Move the original bottom tile back to the left.

  8. Move the circle down

    Slide the circle tile down.

  9. Move the top tile right

Slide the original top tile across to the right.

  10. Route the original bottom tile

Move it right, then up, then left until it meets the four-point tile.

  11. Route the circle tile

    Move it right, then up.

  12. Move the tile above it

Slide that tile right, then all the way down.

  13. Close the diagonal

Move the upper tile on the right back to the left.

Checkpoint: The box opens and reveals Soap. Add it to the bathtub.

If you have already moved the pieces, this starting-layout sequence may no longer match your board. Use the movement rule to restore or finish the diagonal rather than continuing to count tiles from their new positions. The opened box and soap—not a particular animation count—confirm completion.

Match the wall’s six groups of four

On a narrow screen, scroll the table sideways to read all columns.

Select one complete association group of four at a time.
GroupWhat belongs together
PlantsFour flower/plant pictures.
AnimalsFour animal pictures.
PeopleThe three adults and the baby.
FurnitureThe four pieces of furniture.
Body partsFour body-part pictures.
Remaining propsGun, top hat, bottle and briefcase.

When every group is matched, a tile opens for the Scissors. There is no need to slide these wall pictures like the soap-box pieces. For the later letter-driven replay, use the secret-clip sequence; it is a different objective.

Make the comb and complete the bath

  1. Take the hairpin and maggot

After adding soap, remove Alexandra’s hat and hairpin. Use the scissors on the stitches at her neck/back and take the maggot.

  2. Make the bone comb

Put the cookie by the mousehole under the table. Use the hairpin on the mouse, remove the pin again and put the maggot into the dead mouse. Take the Bone Comb.

  3. Get Alexandra into the bath

Comb her hair and undo her dress buttons.

  4. Pop each bubble chain

Inspect the tiny dot within each bubble: it points toward the bubble it will strike. Choose the starting bubble whose chain reaches every bubble in the set. Repeat for the following sets; use the shown dot direction rather than a fixed left/right first click.

  5. Finish the bath interaction

Use the hairpin on the hand emerging from the water. Once Alexandra sleeps, use the scissors to remove the pendant from her necklace.

Checkpoint: Pendant in inventory; the letter/briefcase route can now finish.

The optional Cleaning the Windows achievement is available when the window steams up during the bath. Clear every pane and inspect the masked figure. It is separate from making the soap or collecting the comb.

Use the letters to obtain the timepiece

Hang Alexandra’s hat on the stand and take the notes from her hat and dress. Put them on the table by the window with the original numbered letter. Align the X marks so they cross out the unwanted digits; the remaining code is 281.

Open the briefcase with 281 and remove its smaller box. Fit the pendant into that box and take the Bronze Timepiece. This is the endpoint of the bath task’s timepiece chain. Continue to Day 2 Night for William’s gold timepiece and the cellar.
